Through the Cypress Trees
Navigating through the Cypress trees in Lake Santa Fe located in Melrose Fl.
02/06/2026 - I am going to take my row and sculling boat from Lake Santa Fe in Melrose Fl. to Black Lake on 02/11. From the map that I was looking at, I should be able to stay in the Cypress Trees all the way to the creek that cuts to Black Lake. It looks like Black Lake is fairly secluded without much access from the shore. The lake is low and not too many boats will be able to launch from the boat ramp, but ours will. I am hoping to catch a few fish like brim and cats. I will be videoing the excursion to post to this site.
